Sweden's Imminence is pushing more and more boldly into the mainstream, and we're cheering them on fervently - with songs like this, they need to be there. Stop by their concert on October 25 at Warsaw's Proxima. They will be supported by the equally Scandinavian and equally metalcore Aviana and Allt.

Imminence had the right idea for themselves from the start, and as time goes by, their blade only stings harder instead of dulling. What is the point here? Well, the point is to make metalcore not the only legitimate interpretation, but a testing ground for writing the most polished songs possible. Accordingly, genre aggression is an essential part of the band's activity, which is just as often countered with pop overdubs, post-hardcore exhibitionism and even classical music influences. Like Imminence, Aviana is unlikely to attempt to be the world's most conventional metalcore band. There are also heavily accented djent influences glued to their modern vision of the genre, along with post-hardcore, a pinch of prog metal and alt-metal twists on upbeatness.

Heavy and clinically clean - that's what Allt sounds like, and it's clear that they put a lot of time into torpedoing the listener with as meaty songs as possible. The muscle of the music is - what a surprise - metalcore, which draws a lot from djent guitar chugga chugga. You won't be disappointed.
