A night of punk in various flavors, legend upon legend, awaits you on June 23 at the Spodek in Katowice. The experience will be provided by Dropkick Murphy's, Bad Religion and Agnostic Front.

The headliner will be Boston-based Dropkick Murphy's, presenting that most woozy side of the trend, but not only. Because yes, tricks from around street punk or oi! (understood mainly in the context of shrieking choruses and the rogue nature of the music) are one thing, but in their case the most important thing is the concoction of folk and punk. This gives things a leaping, somewhat uplifting, and at the same time upbeat as hell. All at the same time. No wonder they sell out the halls.

They go as far as they can: Bad Religion started by playing prog rock, then switched to wild punk rock, and in the 1990s became more or less what Turnstile is today. Their melodic hardcore - equally aggressive and rich in a wide range of emotions - inspired a whole host of revered lineups from the post-hc, screamo or emo areas. Simply outstanding.

Finally, the heavy itself and the closest thing to metal. The players from Agnostic Front are legends of New York hardcore. With them there is no wool over the eyes, there are only series of blows. A squat groove, a low-key outfit and the occasional forays into crossover thrash - sheer heaviness.
