Each of Alcest's many concerts in Poland has been regarded as a cleansing spiritual experience. We are sure that November 24 in Warsaw's Proxima will be identical. Supporters will be Svalbard and Doodseskader.
Alcest is a peculiar example of how to do metal in harmony with yourself, while pleasing almost everyone. Neige - the father of the project - evidently took to himself the principle of “leaders not followers,” as he never acted in accordance with fads, always cultivating his world, which makes up Alcest's multifaceted output. He is a pioneer of blackgaze and post-black metal, and continues to release some of the best songs in the trend after time. Live, expect an enveloping wall of sound derived from ethereal forms of rock, a touch of folk subtlety and, of course, desperate black metal. All-in-all, all good.
Svalbard, on the other hand, is a different tale. They also use black metal, but only in an ornamental role. They are much closer to an emotional howl from the vicinity of post-hc, emo or screamo, and they spice up their internal violence with a bit of blast beats and wild tremolo. This concert will certainly help you wrestle with your inner demons.
Doodseskader plays... Hm, it's hard to actually say. On the one hand, it is sludge, on the other - sounds even related to Nirvana. Somewhere there wheezes industrial, and somewhere else nu-metal - a lot of it. But one thing is for sure: they deliver inhuman blows.
